Effective date: October 15, 2026
MyLila (an iBOS Ventures project) ("MyLila," "we," "us") makes Adventure Lessons, an educational game that teaches children values and stories from Hindu tradition through play. This policy covers our website at mylila.ai and our game at mylila.grok.me (together, the "Service").
We built MyLila for families, so we collect as little as we can, never sell personal information, and give parents control.
1. Who the Service is for
The Service is meant for children to enjoy with the permission and involvement of a parent or guardian. The game does not ask for accounts, email addresses, or passwords. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we do not ask children for contact details, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 beyond what is described in this policy. If you believe your child has given us more than that, contact us and we will delete it.
2. What we collect
In the game (mylila.grok.me):
- A first name or nickname typed in to start playing (up to 14 characters). We ask that it be a first name or nickname only, never a full name or anything that identifies or locates your child.
- A random player ID created on the device and saved in the browser's local storage, so the game can recognize the same player next time. It is not linked to a name, email, or account outside the game.
- Game progress: lessons completed, answers given in lessons, values earned, karma or points, streaks, and friends gained in the game.
- Blessings: players can send another player one of a fixed set of pre-written blessings. Children cannot type free-text messages to other players.
Progress and the nickname are saved on the device and on our server so they can appear on the Wisdom Board and carry over between visits.
On the website (mylila.ai):
- Early access sign-up: if a parent chooses to join the early access list, we collect the name and email address entered in the form. This form is for adults. It is delivered to us through FormSubmit, a form-handling service, and used only to contact you about MyLila.
- Messages you choose to send us.
Collected automatically:
- Basic technical data that any website receives to run, such as IP address, device and browser type, and errors. Our hosting providers process this to deliver and secure the Service. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals.
What we do not collect from children: email addresses, passwords, full names, home addresses, phone numbers, photos, audio or video recordings, precise location, or contact lists. We do not show behavioral or targeted advertising, and the game has no chat.
3. How we use information
We use information only to:
- Provide the game, save progress, and show the Wisdom Board.
- Keep the Service secure and prevent misuse.
- Answer questions and support requests, and send early access updates to parents who asked for them.
- Understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used so we can improve lessons.
- Meet legal obligations.
4. Public display
The Wisdom Board is public. It shows a player's nickname and game stats such as lessons, values, friends, and karma. Choose a nickname that does not identify your child. You can ask us to remove a nickname from the board at any time.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We share information only:
- With service providers that host, store, or operate the Service for us. The game is built and hosted on xAI's Grok app platform, which also loads a small platform script from grok.com on game pages. The website is hosted by here.now, and early access sign-ups are delivered through FormSubmit. These providers process information to run their services for us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of children, users, or others.
- If MyLila is reorganized or acquired. In that case this policy, or one at least as protective, will continue to apply, and we will notify parents we can reach.
6. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
The game uses the browser's local storage to remember the player's ID, nickname, and recent activity on that device. We do not set advertising cookies. We do not currently use third-party analytics. If we add analytics, we will use privacy-focused tools that don't track individuals across other sites, and we will update this policy before we do. You can clear local storage at any time in your browser settings; this resets the game on that device.
7. Parents' rights
Parents and guardians can at any time:
- Ask what information we hold about their child.
- Correct it, or ask us to delete it, including removing a nickname from the Wisdom Board.
- Ask us to stop further collection.
Because the game has no accounts, please tell us the nickname your child used (and roughly when they played) so we can find the right records. We may ask reasonable questions to confirm the request comes from the child's parent or guardian, and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, for example under the GDPR or U.S. state laws. Contact us to use them.
8. Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Service, then delete it or make it anonymous. Early access emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your family's information.
9. International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the update here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle children's information, we will give notice on the Service and, where required, ask for parental consent.
